Express Yourself Through the Throat Chakra

On the physical level, the throat chakra corresponds to deep space as the most subtle physical element. 
From the point of view of the Spiritual, it represents the matrix on which physical reality manifests. 
Metaphorically,it represents a person's relationship with their space, the movie that is playing around

This chakra helps in the expression of oneself, it is where communication channels are at its best. Working 
on this chakra brings out the true feelings and ideas that come from the heart. It aids in making responsible 
choices and decisions. It is referred to as the spiritual voice. Through speech, creative ideas can be truly 
manifested as it conveys the truth from the heart 

The throat chakra is located in the neck, above the collarbone. This chakra is associated with the thyroid 
and parathyroid glands, it controls the throat and the neck, the mouth, trachea, vocal chords, eosophagus,
the arms and hands. It is associated with the brachial or cervical plexus. 

The throat chakra is the fifth chakra, referrred to as Vishuddha in Sanskrit, meaning the pure place. In 
Tibetan buddhism, this chakra is important in lucid dreaming and dream yoga. It is believed that it 
governs communication,emotionally it governs independence, mentally it governs fluent thought, and 
spiritually, it governs a sense of security and of 'speaking' especially in a metaphysical sense. In esoteric 
concept, this chakra  is responsible for hearing the inner voice, the gift of clairaudience. The energy flow 
from this chakra helps to strengthen one's faith and belief systems, thus encourages one to fluently speak 
one's truths and helps to maintain a balanced and healthy lifefstyle and attitude.


C.W. Leadbeater wrote:
The Throat chakra would seem to rule the faculty of speech, being midway between the heart and the tongue. 
It is also associated with clairaudience (hearing spiritual voices), and with hearing sounds, words, and music, 
and with taste, smell. Another function associated with this chakra is taking in and assimilating of physical 
and emotional nourishment. On the gross level this manifests as sensuous desire and enjoyment for food. 
This  chakra could be associated with the astrological sign of Taurus, which in current astrology is said to ruled 
by the planet Venus. 

In Tibetan Buddhism, this chakra is associated with the dream state of consciousness. Both Tibetans and 
Taoists use this chakra to access the dream state and develop the faculty of lucid dreaming.
