Book of Gratitude Project
Bonnie Moss December 2011
I am very pleased to be a co-author for this very worthwhile project. It is about 365 days of gratitude- this book is a collection of thoughts about gratitude from over 300 writers.
“ Expressing appreciation for the good things in our lives, though sometimes overlooked, is fairly easy. But imagine expressing your gratitude for things such as not fitting in, Muscular Dystrophy, bankruptcy, or the loss of a job or a loved one. That’s when the practice of gratitude really starts to take on a life changing power!”

My contribution: By Bonnie Moss
Amid the clutter in our minds and demands on our time, it is important to find peace in our lives. It starts with an attitude of gratitude. There is always something in this life to be thankful at the end of the day.
Thinking of the shortfalls of life clutters your mind. This is a negative energy that can get magnified and you open yourself to its power. Don't let it gain momentum. A troubled mind has a bad habit of magnifying issues, rehashing the unpleasant and dwelling on the negative.
Never start the day with thoughts of things that can go wrong. This is directing the Universe to louse up your day. It does not matter that there are days when things don't work out as planned. Focus on what worked, what went well, no matter how simple it was. Life does not hum all the time- the melody is just interrupted.
Mistakes are blessings in disguise, stepping stones to find strength and courage to pick up the pieces as you walk along your path. Believe that challenges you face are manageable. Be thankful for another day. Only in the present moment can you savor Life.
An attitude of gratitude gives you a feeling of confidence, peace and calm.
